How do I fix Magento's "Error 503: Service Temporarily Unavailable" Print

Symptoms

Magento shows Error 503: Service Temporarily Unavailable page after extension installation via Magento Connect or scheduling a backup:

Service Temporarily Unavailable
The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.

You need to follow these steps:

Go to magento root directory via DirectAdmin Web Control Panel/FTP
In case of Magento1, you will find maintenance.flag and delete it
In case of Magento2, delete var/maintenance.flag
